There are printing press companies who design and manufacture waterproof labels along with the printable label stickers but if you do not want to hire them then you can have a small waterproof label printing press at your office or home as well. For making the a4 sheet labels you need to have the printers and the material that will be used in the manufacturing of the waterproof label will help you decide that which kind of printer you require.

Choose a Printer:

These printers will provide the waterproof ink and the ink will not smudge with contact to the water. Some types of the printers which are used in the waterproof labelling are the inkjet printers. These printers are designed in such a case that the ink coming from the printer will not ever smear in case of water. In order for this to work, you need to wait for the ink to dry up first. The second type of the printer is the laser printer. These printers make use of the heat in its toner.  This technique helps the ink to become more durable and reliable under all kind of weather conditions and not only the water. The waterproof labels which are made with the help of the laser printers are likely to last much more than made from any other kind of printer.

Increase the Durability with extra waterproof coats:

After you print your label, then you could add some extra waterproof layers on these as well to keep them even safer than these already are. There are usually two options in this aspect. First is the use of the Krylon Spray, this is the spray which is most popular for giving a waterproof coat to the labels and this is available at almost every hardware store.

In order to spray your labels correctly, you need to wait for the labels to dry properly first after these have been printed. Once these are dries out then you must separate these from the label sheet. Use a clean surface to put the labels and the then shake the spray can properly for about a minute before spraying it on the labels. Make sure that you do not put the spray can close enough to the waterproof labels but this must be at least 12 inches away from these. Spray this on the label sheet and shake it after every spray and keep on repeating it unless the waterproof labels are covered completely. After the spray, leave the labels to dry for at least 15 minutes.

Another method is the use of the laminating sheet that you could put on the top of the labelling sheet. This must be of the greater size than the labelling sheet. Apply these on your sheet and let it stay. The more you let it stay the more effective it will be.
